About Our Fees

Government Funded Childcare

Most of our families join us under the ‘stretch’ government-funded scheme, allowing funded hours to be spread across 51 weeks of the year. This works out at 11 hours per week (15 hours term-time) or 22 hours per week (30 hours term-time).

We offer a Premium Package, carefully designed to enhance your child’s learning experience—because the basic EYFS is only the minimum standard and not enough to fully prepare children for school and beyond.  This is optional for Government Funded Families. By opting out, your child may not take part in the enhanced curriculum activities.

Late Fees

  Fees are billed monthly in advance and are due on the 1st of each month. A late payment incurs a £25.00 fee, added to your next invoice. Late collection is charged at £1.00 per minute after the booked session ends, also added to your next invoice.

To secure your child’s place, we do ask you to pay an enrolment fee and/or deposit. The amount depends on how you are funding your child’s nursery place with us. Your deposit will be refunded when your child starts with us. Terms & Conditions Apply.

gOVERNMENT fUNDING

Working parent childcare funding

 You can apply when your child is 23 weeks old.  Your child can begin their nursery placement the term after they become eligible and receive a valid eligibility code.  For example, if your child is 9 months old between 1 Sept-31 Dec, you will be able to start using your funded hours from January and you will apply for the funding the term before January.

3-4 year old childcare funding

You can apply from when your child is 2 years and 36 weeks.

For example, if your  child's 3rd birthday is between 1 Sept-31 Dec, you will be able to start using your funded hours from January and you will apply for the funding the term before January.


Eligibility Term start dates are 1st September, 1st January, and 1st April.   

Once you've found out if you are eligible, you need to apply on the Government's childcare choices website.

First Friends Funding Codes

 When you have submitted your application, you will then receive an 11-digit code. You will need to give this code to the nursery manager along with your National Insurance Number.

You may be asked for our EY number, which is our 'Early Years' registration number issued by Ofsted.  Wootey, Alton: EY 261 7108

Sibling Discount

We offer a 5% discount on your oldest child’s nursery fees when their younger sibling starts. 

Tax Free Childcare

 Parents can pay their nursery fees through a Tax-Free Childcare account if they are eligible. For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year, which is up to £500 every three months. 

Tax Credits

 Tax credits are available from HM Revenue and Customs, based on your household’s circumstances. You may be able to access help with the cost of childcare if you’re working for a minimum of 16 hours/week.  For further information and eligibility, check online:

Childcare Vouchers

  We accept childcare vouchers from employers who offer this benefit. These vouchers are tax-free and exempt from National Insurance for employees, while also providing NI savings for employers. Both parents can claim, as long as they are in employment.
