We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to communicate and connect, and Makaton is here to make that happen! Makaton combines speech with signs and symbols.
Every child, each week will get the opportunity to learn a new Makaton sign of the week. It is embedded practice and meaningful for all the children across all of our settings. We publish a video each week on our Facebook page (First Friends Day Nurseries), so you can also practice signing the word at home.
