About our nursery

Welcome to our award-winning and very popular day nursery, conveniently nestled within the picturesque grounds of Wootey Infant School. We have close links with the infant and junior school, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition for our children when it's time for them to start school. We offer childcare for children aged 6 months to 5 years.

We are open 51 weeks a year, from 8:00 am to 6:00pm. We also offer early starts from 7:00 am and late closure until 7:00pm. We just close between Christmas and New Year.

At our day nursery, we believe in fostering structure and free play to facilitate the learning and development of our children. Through a carefully crafted balance of guided activities and independent exploration, we encourage each child to become confident in preparing for school life.

We are excited to be opening a brand-new baby day nursery for children aged 6 months - 18 months.

We are currently accepting 'Expression of Interest' applications from families with children that will be 12 months or under in April 2025.

We've crafted exciting spaces for toddlers aged 18 months to 30-36 months, fostering curiosity and exploration through structured play and routine.

Our toddlers have free-flow play to their outside garden.

Inventors - a growing space for growing minds!

Our Pre-School Room is designed for children aged 30-36 months to 5 years, offering a stimulating environment that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Our carefully curated activities and learning materials are geared towards preparing your little one for a seamless transition into school, ensuring they develop the essential skills needed for their lifetime. They have free-flow play to their outside garden.

Lots of outside space

One of the highlights of our nursery is our enchanting outdoor facilities, featuring two secure play areas.

We encourage seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, enabling our little ones to freely explore and engage in play.

As a fortunate member of the Wootey family, we have the privilege of accessing the school grounds, allowing our children to observe and be inspired by the "bigger" children at play.

All-inclusive childcare

You don't need to spend hours in the morning preparing your child's bag for nursery. We take care of it all! Check out everything that's included in our prices.

Our prices

8am-1pm: £46.00- £48.00

1pm - 6pm: £43.00 - £45.00

Full Day (8am -6pm): £79.00 -£81.00

Earlier starts and later finish also available on request.

(Prices vary depending on the age of the child).

Prices set in January 2025.

You can book a minimum of two half days or one full day per week.

Additional costs for Government Funded Children

Funded children will be charged £1.20 per hour for food and consumables. For example, if you are using 11 hours of Government funding per week, you'll be charged an additional £13.20 per week, invoiced monthly.
