Our Inspiring Spaces
The Nest - Our new baby day nursery for children aged 6 months - 18 years.
Explorers - We've crafted exciting spaces for toddlers aged 18 months - 3 years. Toddlers have free-flow to their garden.
Inventors - Our pre-school room is designed for children 3-5 years. Our children also have a separate free-flow garden.
Extensive Outside Space
One of the highlights of our nursery is our enchanting outdoor facilities, featuring three secure play areas and our very own vegetable patch.
We encourage seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, enabling our little ones to freely explore and engage in play.
As a fortunate member of the Wootey family, we have the privilege of accessing the school grounds, allowing our children to observe and be inspired by the "bigger" children at play.
Gardens aside, we’re also proud to care for our very own giant African land snails, a shared responsibility enjoyed by all the children.

Where dreams come true
We believe that every child’s voice matters. That’s why we’ve created our very own Children’s Committee—a special initiative that empowers children to share their ideas and make their dreams come true! Each month, a new group of children joins the committee, ensuring that everyone has a chance to be heard.

Safety & Security
At First Friends Alton, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do
- All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks and receive regular training in child protection, first aid, and health and safety.
- Our nursery features secure entry systems, strict hygiene routines, and regular safety audits to ensure a safe, clean environment.
- Our designated safeguarding leads, Jane and Beth, oversee child protection, and robust reporting procedures are in place.
- Internet access is strictly monitored, and families can opt in or out of our photography policy.
- We maintain Ofsted-recommended child ratios, with management always available to support as needed.
