Welcome to our award-winning and very popular day nursery, where we are dedicated to offering exceptional childcare. We offer childcare for children aged 6 months to 5 years, open 51 weeks of the year.
Welcome to our award-winning and very popular day nursery, conveniently nestled within the picturesque grounds of Wootey Infant School. We have close links with the infant and junior school, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition for our children when it's time for them to start school. We offer childcare for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
We are open 51 weeks a year, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We also offer early starts from 7:00 am and late closure until 7:00 pm. We only close for one week between Christmas and New Year.
At our day nursery, we believe in fostering structure and free play to facilitate the learning and development of our children. Through planned guided activities and independent exploration, we encourage each child to become confident in preparing for school life.
Our approach ensures that each child feels valued and supported, allowing them to thrive and grow at their own pace.

We are now taking registrations for Winter 2026! (Yep, that's 2026). Crazy, we know!
We are opening a brand-new baby day nursery in April 2025, specially designed for children aged 6 to 18 months. Due to limited availability in our Explorers room, we can only accept children who are 12 months and under at the time they start with us.
We currently have availability to start with us in April 2025 on Mondays and Fridays.

We welcome new families under the ‘stretch’ government funded scheme, which means you can spread the funded hours over 51 weeks of the year, which equates to 11 hours per week (15 hours, term-time) or 22 hours per week (30 hours, term-time). We do offer term-time only in pre-school, but these places are limited.
Take a look at our comprehensive price list, designed to give you a clear breakdown of our fees for both half-day and full-day sessions. We know how difficult it can be to understand funding, so we've calculated it for you.
The second page gives you an idea of what you’ll be paying each month, based on funding available to you.
We believe that every child’s voice matters. That’s why we’ve created our very own Children’s Committee—a special initiative that empowers children to share their ideas and make their dreams come true! Each month, a new group of children joins the committee, ensuring that everyone has a chance to be heard.
We have a Movement & Mindfulness Programme for improved physical health and mental balance.
Our food is healthy and very tasty all freshly prepared by our in-house chef. We have a 5* Food Hygiene rating.
We teach Makaton - a language programme that combines speech with signs and symbols.
'Earth Explorers' - an approach to education that makes use of the outdoor environment.
We check our messages regularly throughout the day. Please let us know which nursery your question is about. Thank you!
